華盛頓州立大學（Washington State University, WSU）于1890年成立，是一所大型公立綜合性全國大學，位于美國西部華盛頓州（唯一以總統(tǒng)名稱命名的州——為了紀念美國首任總統(tǒng)喬治·華盛頓）的小城普爾曼，也是該州的贈地大學。

華盛頓州立大學的主校區(qū)位于華盛頓東部的普爾曼，其在斯波坎（WSU Spokane）、三城（WSU Tri-Cities）和溫哥華（WSU Vancouver）也設(shè)有分校，均成立于1989年；2012年，WSU創(chuàng)建了全球校區(qū)，以網(wǎng)絡(luò)教程為主，即遠程授課，提供本科與碩士研究生學位。

校園環(huán)境

華盛頓州立大學位于普爾曼的主校園占地2.5平方公里（620公頃），依山而建，距離愛達荷州的莫斯科市只有7英里，平均海拔2500英尺。校園內(nèi)的主要建筑物都是以紅色的磚為外墻，因為在校園內(nèi)的第一座建筑物為紅磚的建筑，自此以后所有的建筑的仿效類似的風格。在19世紀末，校園建筑物風格是當年流行的實用風格，充分反映建議作為教室及實驗室的用途，及至20世紀，建筑物開始加入不同復古主義的元素，例如大量的古典裝飾。到了現(xiàn)在，建筑物的設(shè)計已經(jīng)十分現(xiàn)代化，但仍然保留著紅磚外墻的傳統(tǒng)。
