芝加哥藝術(shù)學(xué)院（School of the Art Institute of Chicago，縮寫：SAIC）成立于1866年，位于美國伊利諾伊州芝加哥市，也是美國受認(rèn)證的獨(dú)立藝術(shù)設(shè)計(jì)學(xué)院中規(guī)模最大的一間學(xué)院。

Overall Experience: Everyone on campus is kind and accepting and everyone seems to get along. The classes are challenging and like real life in their expectations.
Overall Experience: Any career in the art world is difficult. SAIC is nationally recognized so a degree here is better than most other art schools.
Athletics: I don’t see many athletes attending. Students gifts are based or the quality of a design or other art related careers, but it will prepare some for sports in their liking.
Overall Experience: I start school july 11 and i have been to 2 open houses. I have met all the fasion teachers and they have really good personalities, they want to make sure we all succeed and they will be there to help us in any way
Campus Housing: I love the rooms! Very spacious and we have a bathroom and kitchenette. Space to store art and make art. What more could I want?
Overall Experience: SAIC has serious name recognition. People like to say they aren't confident in SAIC's ability to land them a job but ultimately it is the student's responsibility to work and look for a job with the help of the school's career services. I've made a lot of connections with professional artists (my professors and otherwise) as well as business people in the city and I'm only two years into school. You have to be working for it. There are hundreds of us at the school. You aren't going to have your future served to you on a silver platter.
Health & Safety: Our security staff is fantastic and 24 hours. Almost all of them are incredibly friendly and caring. When I was having serious roommate problems I was having a breakdown and one of the women saw how upset I was and went out of her way to comfort me and assure me while we waiting for campus life staff to arrive. I can never forget that and am forever grateful to her.*(6)

如申請(qǐng)者本科畢業(yè)，擁有建筑學(xué)或建筑技術(shù)專業(yè)背景，修讀過下述前置課程，可申請(qǐng)入讀為期2年的建筑學(xué)碩士項(xiàng)目（M.Arch Option 2 ）；如申請(qǐng)者本科所修讀課程未能完全覆蓋建筑學(xué)碩士第一學(xué)年的全部課程，很有可能無法申請(qǐng)入讀2年制項(xiàng)目，將會(huì)被錄取至3.5年制項(xiàng)目。學(xué)生需要滿足的前置課程是：
- 6學(xué)分的建筑科學(xué)（6 semester credit hours in building science）
- 3學(xué)分結(jié)構(gòu)工程（3 semester credit hours in structural engineering）
- 6學(xué)分建筑史（6 semester credit hours in architectural history）
- 6學(xué)分設(shè)計(jì)工作室課程（6 semester credit hours in design studios）
（2）陶瓷藝術(shù)、紡織與材料研究、油畫與繪畫、攝影藝術(shù)、版畫藝術(shù)以及雕塑藝術(shù)確保每個(gè)學(xué)生都有自己的工作室空位，其他科系或工作室專業(yè)必須遞交空位申請(qǐng)
（3）歷史遺跡碩士要求申請(qǐng)者本科畢業(yè)，且在修完3個(gè)學(xué)分藝術(shù)史調(diào)研（Art history survey）和建筑史（Architectural history）課程，建議申請(qǐng)者擁有建筑學(xué)、室內(nèi)設(shè)計(jì)或相關(guān)領(lǐng)域經(jīng)驗(yàn)。該項(xiàng)目課程涵蓋以下4個(gè)領(lǐng)域，分別是：
- 建筑設(shè)計(jì)（Architectural design）
- 物理保存（Physical conservation）
- 建筑與社會(huì)史（Architectural and social history）
- 保存規(guī)劃（Preservation planning）
（4）藝術(shù)教學(xué)碩士要求申請(qǐng)者本科畢業(yè)，且本科期間所修課程必須滿足伊利諾伊州幼稚園-12年級(jí)藝術(shù)教育資格證書的要求，包括33個(gè)學(xué)分的工作室藝術(shù)課程，如陶瓷藝術(shù)、繪畫藝術(shù)、平面設(shè)計(jì)、紡織藝術(shù)、油畫藝術(shù)、表演藝術(shù)、攝影藝術(shù)、版畫藝術(shù)、雕塑藝術(shù)等，33個(gè)學(xué)分中必須有12個(gè)學(xué)分的本科高年級(jí)或研究生水準(zhǔn)的工作室藝術(shù)課程
（5）藝術(shù)治療碩士要求申請(qǐng)者本科畢業(yè)，強(qiáng)烈建議擁有豐富的人類服務(wù)經(jīng)歷，本科期間修讀過18個(gè)學(xué)分的工作室藝術(shù)課程和12個(gè)學(xué)分的心理學(xué)課程，包括變態(tài)心理學(xué)（Abnormal psychology）和發(fā)展心理學(xué)（Developmental psychology），強(qiáng)烈建議修讀過3個(gè)學(xué)分的藝術(shù)治療概論課程*(1)
