ACT（American College Test，美國(guó)大學(xué)入學(xué)考試，俗稱“美國(guó)高考”），為美國(guó)各大學(xué)申請(qǐng)入學(xué)的重要參考條件之一。盡管ACT目前在國(guó)內(nèi)的流行程度不及SAT，但在美國(guó)這兩種考試卻是被同等看待的。另外，ACT由于包含有科學(xué)考試部分，本身注重對(duì)中學(xué)課程知識(shí)的掌握，因此上，ACT本身是不需要科目考試的，這點(diǎn)與SAT不同——不少美國(guó)大學(xué)除了需要SAT推理測(cè)驗(yàn)（SATⅠ）外，還需要有SAT科目測(cè)驗(yàn)（SATⅡ）。
考試內(nèi)容
ACT考試分英語(yǔ)（English）、數(shù)學(xué)（Mathematics）、閱讀（Reading）、科學(xué)（Science）、寫(xiě)作（Writing）五個(gè)部分，前4部分總分則稱綜合（Composite）。其中寫(xiě)作為選考，但也有不少學(xué)校要求申請(qǐng)者提供寫(xiě)作成績(jī)。除寫(xiě)作外，其余考試部分全部為選擇題。

考試時(shí)間
ACT每年有五次考試，分別是每年的2月、4月、6月、10月和12月，其中2月和6月的考試不含寫(xiě)作部分的。
報(bào)考費(fèi)150美元（不含寫(xiě)作）或166.5美元（含寫(xiě)作），包含4所學(xué)校成績(jī)遞送，而后每加送一所學(xué)校需13美元。*(5)
考試地點(diǎn)
ACT考試在國(guó)內(nèi)設(shè)有考點(diǎn),但是目前只對(duì)完成GAC預(yù)科課程或者是與ACT簽約的中學(xué)的學(xué)生開(kāi)放。其它考生需到香港或者新加坡等地方考試。*(4)
