加州藝術(shù)學(xué)校（California Institute of the Arts）成立于1961年，位于美國加州洛杉磯，是一所私立藝術(shù)類院校，也是美國第一所開設(shè)視覺與表演藝術(shù)學(xué)位項(xiàng)目的學(xué)校。
學(xué)校歷史
加州藝術(shù)學(xué)校是由Walt Disney在1960年初成立，希望打造“藝術(shù)領(lǐng)域里的加州理工（Caltech of the arts）”，其實(shí)是將成立于1921年的喬納德藝術(shù)學(xué)院（Chouinard Art Institute）和成立于1883年的洛杉磯音樂學(xué)院（Los Angeles Conservatory of Music）合并，當(dāng)時(shí)這兩所學(xué)校都面臨著經(jīng)濟(jì)困難的壓力，而且喬納德藝術(shù)學(xué)院的創(chuàng)始人也得了不可治愈的病癥。此前沃特跟隨喬納德學(xué)習(xí)動(dòng)畫片繪制，但他沒有足夠的學(xué)費(fèi)，喬納德同意沃特可以延遲繳費(fèi)，沃特目睹了喬納德藝術(shù)學(xué)院一步步成為美國西海岸地區(qū)最優(yōu)秀的藝術(shù)學(xué)校，最終實(shí)現(xiàn)了將兩校合并，并在其去世后，依然繼續(xù)合并運(yùn)營。
加州藝術(shù)學(xué)校受美國西部學(xué)校與學(xué)院協(xié)會（WASC），開設(shè)視覺藝術(shù)與表演藝術(shù)學(xué)士學(xué)位（BFA）和碩士學(xué)位（MFA），并從1994年，開始授予文學(xué)學(xué)士學(xué)位。Herb Alpert音樂學(xué)校在2009年開始受到認(rèn)證，并開設(shè)音樂藝術(shù)博士學(xué)位（DMA）。*(2)

Health & Safety: It's improved since people have stepped forward as victims of assault. As well, there are always security on campus that are reachable at all hours.
Overall Experience: Our teachers are practicing artists in the fields we want to go into. There's no better way to learn than from someone themselves.
Overall Experience: Alumni always offer students opportunities. As well, LA has plenty of opportunities.
Diversity: People from all over the world, a variety of sexual orientations, genders, religions, economic backgrounds. It's a melting pot.
Drug Safety: Mainly Marijuana, not very strictly enforced. Nobody pressures you to do anything you're not comfortable with
Health & Safety: Security is good at keeping people out at the entrance for cars, but its very easy to walk on campus. Security does their job, doesn't really bother anyone.
Off-Campus Dining: It's just really bland. Mostly chains and nothing within a mile, so you basically need a car.
Scholarships: There simply isn't enough scholarship for the students. Besides that, the tuition goes up considerably every year.*(7)
