克里夫蘭藝術(shù)學(xué)院（Cleveland Institute of Art）成立于1882年，位于美國俄亥俄州克里夫蘭大學(xué)圈，是全國頂尖的獨立藝術(shù)設(shè)計院校之一，開設(shè)有15個本科專業(yè)，以及1個與凱斯西儲大學(xué)合作開設(shè)4+1本碩連讀項目。

學(xué)校歷史

克里夫蘭藝術(shù)學(xué)院成立于1882年，當時稱為西儲女子設(shè)計學(xué)院（Western Reserve School of Design for Women），1892年成為男女合校，更名為克里夫蘭藝術(shù)學(xué)校（Cleveland School of Art）。曾試圖合并至凱斯西儲大學(xué)下設(shè)學(xué)院，后未成功，自此，成為一所獨立院校。1905年秋季，在克里夫蘭大學(xué)圈木蘭大道和刺柏路一角的新修大樓中開始第一次授課。1917年，學(xué)校開始在周末和暑期開設(shè)兒童和成人課程。

學(xué)校在二戰(zhàn)時開設(shè)了醫(yī)學(xué)繪圖和繪圖法課程，1947年，開始授學(xué)士學(xué)位（BFA），次年，更名為克里夫蘭藝術(shù)學(xué)院（Cleveland Institute of Art）。

2013年初期，克里夫蘭藝術(shù)學(xué)院聲明將東林蔭大道樓賣給克里夫蘭藝術(shù)博物館和凱斯西儲大學(xué)，2015年，學(xué)院在歐幾里得大道統(tǒng)一運轉(zhuǎn)，并完成一座占地8萬平方英尺的建筑，該建筑也是為了紀念喬治·岡德二世。

學(xué)生評價

Overall Experience: Since I have been At CIA I can't say that any of my professors were unavailable for me when I need help. They are challenging when it comes to the goal of the courses. I feel like I am being prepared for the real world when I graduate.

Overall Experience: So far CIA has given options for internships that must be applied for. The quality of the employers are great. and are in the field of study that my degree is in.

Health & Safety: I think in general you have be aware of your surrounding no matter where you are. It is always safe to walk around in numbers. and there are campus safety personal that can assist you.

Campus Housing: I find the housing is nice somewhat expensive for what it is though.

Overall Experience: I am so happy that I am attending The Cleveland Institute of Art. Based on what I have experienced and learned right now a lot have doors have opened up for me. I already got a paid internship in my field of study at the LBrand Corporation in Columbus, Ohio. That alone is an learning experience in itself. Based on the classes that I have at CIA I feel that I have chosen the correct major.

Party Scene: The parties are very crowded and are mostly made up of Case's students instead of our schools.

Academics: Workload is very heavy and can be very stressful most of the times. Some professors are not very helpful or very pointless of being there.

Diversity: Mostly everyone is very accepting to others background, sexual orientation and political beliefs. There are many different ethnicities however there is some that are rare to find.

Drug Safety: Thou there isn't any peer pressure that much on campus or in the dorms, a lot of the students do drugs. Alcohol being visible is very rare and is only scene in special events or in parties*(7)
