石溪大學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)專業(yè)本科生教育好不好

這是在facebook、unigo等地找到的美國(guó)學(xué)生對(duì)石溪大學(xué)本科數(shù)學(xué)的評(píng)價(jià)（沒(méi)有作篩選，找到啥是啥）：

1.Most of the university's attention is on science, technology, engineering and mathematics majors and this often have the most work. However, there are some great and often underrated humanities instructor, as well. 這個(gè)說(shuō)這個(gè)學(xué)校重理工（STEM），但仍然有不少好的人文教授。
2.Academics are very challenging. It is an extremely competitive school. You have to put a lot of time and effort into the math and science majors. It is not for someone who wants an easy degree. You can go to different school and get a higher GPA easily. 這個(gè)說(shuō)這個(gè)學(xué)校GPA卡得比較低，說(shuō)你在其它學(xué)校說(shuō)不定輕易就可以拿個(gè)高GPA，再有就是數(shù)學(xué)、理科專業(yè)需要下點(diǎn)功夫
3.There is access to internships and job opportunities at the career center but nothing especially towards sociology as the school is mostly full of more science and math majors. 還是說(shuō)這個(gè)學(xué)校重理輕文。然后說(shuō)兼職和工作機(jī)會(huì)多多。
4.The math professors here suck, I learned everything by myself on the internet or meeting with my TA. Everything else seems to be ok。說(shuō)這個(gè)學(xué)校的數(shù)學(xué)教授很爛的，自己基本都是跟著助教自學(xué)的，其它都還OK。
5.The academics at stony brook are exceptional. Best school for science and math. 說(shuō)這個(gè)學(xué)校學(xué)術(shù)一切都很好，數(shù)理最佳學(xué)校。
6.The majority of the people at Stony Brook are science, engineering, math, or health services majors. 還是說(shuō)這個(gè)學(xué)校偏重STEM，外加衛(wèi)生/健康類專業(yè)。
7.Stony Brook's science and math courses are extremely challenging. My Chemistry and Math professors were terrible. They made class horrible and not worth going to class. 說(shuō)這個(gè)學(xué)校數(shù)學(xué)和理科很難，教授很次，課上得很差，不值得去。
8.Number One in Research – Stony brook is a Famous research university. The professors are all great and work hard with the students. Stony brook is known for science and math majors. 研究非常棒，很著名的一所研究型大學(xué)。教授強(qiáng)悍，工作勤懇。以數(shù)學(xué)和科學(xué)著稱。

這些個(gè)評(píng)論說(shuō)明啥呢？1.石溪是以理工著稱的，而且也側(cè)重理工；2.至于教授可能就各有各的感受了，有好也有差；3.數(shù)學(xué)可能有點(diǎn)難（對(duì)美國(guó)人。。）

怎么說(shuō)呢，本科主要還是看學(xué)校，跟專業(yè)的關(guān)系不是很大。
